Olga Taran   


I am highly motivated Postdoctoral researcher with mathematical background and more than five years of experience in research, developing and applying machine learning based image analysis and signal processing to broad range of real world problems. I have an experience in the interdisciplinary synergy projects between the Computer Science and Astronomy, Computer Science and Solar Physic. Proficient Python programmer with data science and data analytics skills. The author of more than two dozen scientific publications and co-author of three patents.


Biography

Olga Taran received:

  • Master in Mathematics and Computer Science at University of Geneva, Switzerland, in 2016
    Thesis: Towards the machine learning based image processing

  • Master in Applied Mathematics at V.I. Vernadsky Taurida National University, Ukraine, in 2008 
    Thesis: Construction of curves and surfaces based on integro-differential interpolation
    Diploma with honours

Currently she is a (Deep) Machine Learning image analysis & data processing, postdoctoral researcher at the Stochastic Information Processing (SIP) Group, Department of Computer Sciences, University of Geneva.
